MNCMN FEBRUARY CHANGE SUMMIT
Topic: "Leading Change - Building a High Impact Change Practice"
Speaker: Daryl Conner
Among all the change facilitators in our profession, a relatively small number are considered exceptionally influential by the leaders they support. These are the ones executives turn to when critically important initiatives are being executed. They are treated as rare resources, and their observations and recommendations are greatly respected and sought after.
Why are some change practitioners remarkably persuasive with the executives they serve while others aren’t? Daryl Conner has been conducting research the last few years to answer this question and what he learned is that what distinguishes practitioners with the highest impact isn’t the content of the guidance they provide; it is the nature of the relationship within which the guidance is conveyed. Daryl’s talk will highlight some key distinctions between being considered an “acceptable” vs. an “indispensable” change professional.
