The employee experience challenge in the face of constant change: The employee experience is being heralded as “the next competitive frontier” for organizations according to Forbes author Denise Lee Yohn.
Deloitte Human Capital Trends research has prioritized the employee experience in their top ten trends for a number of years. Their findings state that “nearly 80 percent of executives rated employee experience very important (42 percent) or important (38 percent), but only 22 percent reported that their companies were excellent at building a differentiated employee experience. Fifty-nine percent of survey respondents reported they were not ready or only somewhat ready to address the employee experience challenge.”
We don’t need to quote statistics to know that the new normal for organizations is that change is constant. Few companies have managed to create a compelling experience for their employees. Add to that constant change, positive or otherwise, and we are facing a significant challenge on how to build, improve and sustain the eco system of a thriving employee experience while navigating change. Comprehensive effort and discipline is required to make a significant and sustainable change in the way employees experience their journeys in our organizations – especially during times of change. Lisa Perez is a visionary leader who understands business needs and applies HR levers to accomplish business goals. She drives value by implementing relevant talent strategies and providing senior leaders with pragmatic counsel. She is a tenacious and conscientious influencer who excels at rallying teams toward achievement.
Most recently Lisa was the Vice President of Talent Management for Buffalo Wild Wings where she was responsible for building the capabilities and programs the organization needed to identify, acquire, develop and retain talent to drive business success.
Lisa has held Human Resources leadership positions in a variety of industries including retail, hospitality, financial services, healthcare and consulting.
Lisa is a graduate from the University of St. Thomas, where she graduated Magna cum Laude as an Aquinas Honors Scholar with a B.A. in Organization Communication.
Lisa is a co-president of the board of directors for the Twin Cities HR Executive Forum. She holds certifications in Executive Coaching and 360 feedback assessment. Lisa is the author of Chapter 1, Aligning Human Resources Strategy with the Business, from vision to execution, Learning Beyond the Classroom, Producing Competitive Business Results. Lisa has been a guest presenter for the Ken Blanchard Companies, Women in Agribusiness, HR Executive Roundtable, M&A Executive Search, Minnesota Change Management Network and CentraCare.
Lisa is the founder of Twin Cities Path to Prosperity Consortium, which integrates organizations and resources required to build a refugee talent pipeline to fuel Twin Cities’ organizations.
Additionally, she focuses her community involvement on children, working with Feed my Starving Children, the Ronald McDonald House Upper Midwest Charities and Simon Says Give. She is also a strong supporter and volunteer for ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) Wisconsin Chapter.
Lisa lives in Chanhassen with her husband and son. She enjoys walking the beautiful trails in the Chanhassen area, as well as practicing Yoga. Lisa is an avid reader, home chef, entertainer and gardener.
